Helen C. Anheuser
Helen Claire Anheuser, 86, formerly of 290 Gillett St. and a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, passed away April 6, 2006, at the home.
Helen was born March 22, 1920, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of the late Henry and Clara Voss Ackerman.
On June 28, 1941, she married Peter J. Anheuser at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac.
Helen was a 1937 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph's Catholic Women, Daughters of Isabella, and the Grandmother's Club.
Survivors include her five children, Patricia Koepke and David (Bonnie) Anheuser, all of Fond du Lac, Mary (Donald) Moser of Melissa, Texas, Steven Anheuser, and John (Kelly) Anheuser of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, David, Thomas and Daniel Koepke, Steve and Amy Anheuser, and Stephanie Anheuser; and three great-granddaughters. She is further survived by a brother, Dr. John H. Ackerman of South Barrington, Ill.; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, on June 19, 1977, and a sister-in-law, Genie Ackerman.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Patrick Heppe will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Zacherl Funeral Home and again from 8:45 a.m. until prayers are offered at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials in her name may be directed to the Fond du Lac Humane Society or Holy Family Parish.
