PIPESTEM - Larry Eugene Adkins, 41, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at his home.

Born Sept. 25, 1958, in Summers County, he was the son of Hallie Adkins Adkins of Hinton and the late Clifford George Adkins.

Mr. Adkins lived most of his life in Summers County.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Adkins, in 1996.

Other survivors include five brothers, Roger and Billy Adkins, both of Hinton, George and Russell Adkins, both of Pipestem, and Ronnie Adkins of Princeton; five sisters, Betty Burgess, Rosie Adkins and Bonnie Ward, all of Hinton, Connie Adkins of Bunker Hill and Joyce Snow of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Elmo Alderman officiating.

Burial will follow in Adkins Family Cemetery, Hinton.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral parlors.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ward, Kevin Wood, Curtis Adkins, William "Hoppy" Cook, Kenny Goff, Ernie Snow, Danny Cook, Randy Cox and Steve Gill.
