Angelo was born on June 14, 1940, in Chisholm, the son of Angelo and Sarah ( Wilson ) Castagneri.
He lived on Lake Vermilion on Daisy Bay. He worked construction in Arizona and New Mexico, and also worked for Picek Construction. He loved cats and fostered cats as well. He was a valued member of the community; he volunteered his services whenever and wherever he was needed. He was a great handyman.
He was married to Marilyn Potente, who died in 1993.
Angelo is survived by his children: Julie (Casey) Johnson, Duluth, and Shayna Castagneri; four grandchildren; a brother, Carlo (Norma) Castagneri, Richfield, Minn.; two sisters, Ethel (Jim) Walker, Ariz., and Teresa Castagneri, Britt; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
