Age 24. Graduated from Maple Grove High School in 1975. Attended Salem College, Salem, W. Va. Mike was an avid fisherman & hunter. He was survived by his mother, with whom he resided. Never married / no children. Death a suicide by shotgun at home at 11pm, 14 Lake St.

Mike was my only first cousin. He was much older than me and lived in a different state. I never really knew him. Mental illness runs in my family, and from what little I heard he was a sufferer. The only information I got from his mother was, "He always was a sad boy" and that he suffered from migraine headaches. I myself am bipolar.
Anyone with photos or bio information...I would really appreciate it! Cypressgreen / Barbara Andrews

note on a virtual flower (thanks!):
I grew up with Michael and he was such a nice person. He was very popular in school, and he befriended everyone, even the kids who the underdogs. He was a ladies man and had many girls after him. I have one memory of him that I cherish to this day. I was in school walking down the hall and he came towards me and suddenly picked me up over his shoulder and carried me down the hall. He carried me the opposite way that I was headed. He laughed the whole way. I did not think it was funny at the time, but now I look back and laugh. Just before he died we had these little nicknames we called each other. I was trailer queen and he was swamp king. He also had a black lab named Dillon. I wonder what happened to him after Michael died, he was the best dog. I miss you Michael. I pray you are in a god place and found Peace !

The twilight hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
