-- CHESTER - Mr. Robert Julian "Jule" Sanders, 79, of 2441 Pressley Road died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Columbia. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Armenia United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Mary Kearse, Dale Roddey and Fant Steele officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A native of Chester, Mr. Sanders was a son of the late Peter Hamilton Sanders and Annie Beulah Roberts Sanders. He was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Armenia United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Sanders attended the Chester County schools and was an avid farmer and gardener. Surviving are his wife, Ethel C. Sanders; his daughter, Debbie Shugart of Chester; two sisters, Annie Mae Wrenn of Chester and Betty Stroud of Charlotte; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Barron Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Armenia United Methodist Church, 2840 Armenia Road, Chester, SC 29706.
