Services for Harold R. Beard, 76, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Black Cemetery, west of Albany. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
He died Monday in Ball Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Beard, who was born in West Terre Haute, had lived in Muncie since 1928. He retired in 1974 as a millwright at Delco Battery and also owned B&C Body Shop, Beard's Used Cars, Dice Motel, and Beards Trailer Court, Hartford City, and was part-owner of Muncie Auto Auction. His most recent venture was a company called Strategic Telecom Systems, Knoxville, Tenn. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 489.
