Born January 18, 1921 in New York City. Married for sixty-two years to her beloved husband, the late Francis L. Brannigan, LCDR, USNR (Ret.).

Survived by her children, Anne Veronica Brannigan-Kelly, Christopher J. Brannigan, Vincent M. Brannigan, Eileen B. Longsworth, Mary Ellen Schattman, John F. Brannigan, and their spouses. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Joseph.

Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church, 917 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD, on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 12:30 p.m.
Interment with full military honors accorded will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
