Frank, the son of Louise (nee, Sprencel) and Frank R. Theroux, died at age 85 in Holt, MI. At age 5 he moved with his parents to East Lansing and resided in the area most of his life. He served as a Navy Seaman from 1943 to 1945 and, after graduating from MSU as a civil engineer, moved to Los Angeles. From 1949 to 1956 Frank worked for the Los Angeles Flood Control District and the California Highway Department. In 1956 he moved back to East Lansing and subsequently established a land development firm, The Theroux Development Company, which produced the Greenwood subdivision in Haslett, Grand Pointe subdivision in Dimondale, Windmill Mobile Home Park in Holt and the Ironwood Links golf course in Mason.

Marquita L. Theroux (1922-2009) was Frank's first wife and the mother of their daughter, Nancy. In 1966 he married his second wife, Mary Jane Ferlen, and they remained wed until her passing in 2007. Frank and Mary Jane were strong supporters of local families. They sponsored experieces for underprivileged kids at Mystic Lake YMCA Camp and were known for their huge annual Halloween and Christmas parties for local Holt children.

Frank was survived by four brothers; Robert, Paul, Charles (Connie) and James (Marti). He was preceded in death by his brother Louis and his sister Frances.

Frank Theroux was survived by his daughter, Nancy (John Molo), two stepdaughters: Dorothy Engerski (Marvin) and Lynne Lambert (Doug). He was also survived by one granddaughter, Shannon Molo, one step granddaughter, Lisa MacDonald and four great stepgrandchildren, Tuesday, Romello, Amanda and Angela.

Funeral services were held at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt Chapel.
