Lillian Elizabeth Froelker was born Oct. 17, 1893 at Gerald, Missouri the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Toelke nee Nolting. On March 27, 1927 she was united in marriage to Victor Amos Froelker in the home of Rev. and Mrs. W.B. Adams.

Lillian passed away at the St. John's Mercy Hospital June 25, 1992 having reached the age of 98 years, 8 months and 8 days.

She is survived by one son, Victor Froelker Jr., and one daughter, Jane Click, with whom she resided, daughter-in-law, Virginia Froelker, all of Gerald; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Walter Ahlemeyer of Owensville; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, by two sisters, Frances Butler and Addie Gehlauf.

She received her elementary education at the Good Hope School, attended Union High School and Southeast Missouri Teacher's College. She taught two years at Pea Rige and two years at Oak Grove.

As a young girl she attended and was baptized at the Antioch Christian Church. After her marriage she was a faithful member of the Leslie Methodist Church.

Lillian enjoyed working with the UMW for many years, also having served as an officer in the local and district units and as a Sunday School teacher. She faithfully attended all church activities come rain or shine. The prayers that she rendered on any occasion definitely depicted her dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 28, at the Leslie United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. with Rev. Gene Hammond and Gordon Geibler officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Meyer Funeral Home of Gerald.
