Private Services were held for Carrell Dillard, 85, of Gridley. He died on Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital in Gridley.
He was born on February 22, 1918, in Glenwood, Arkansas, one of seventeen children born to James and Elsie Dillard. He was a long time area resident, having worked many years for Pfister's Dairy. He enjoyed playing poker and dominos.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary A. Dillard and Pearl E. Dillard; one son, Lloyd L. Dillard and eight brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by one brother, John Dillard of Oklahoma and two sisters; Fannie Anderson of Gridley and Juanitta Rogers of Bedford, Kentucky. He is also survived by eight grandchildren several great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Inurnment was held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
