Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Thursday, November 10, 1994

Lola Ambrose, 84, Iberia, died Wednesday at her home. She was born June 17, 1910, in Brumley, a daughter of James and Mary Margaret Meredith Popplewell. She was married June 5, 1934, in Iberia, to Armyl L. Ambrose, who died Feb. 9, 1981. She was a member of Iberia First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Patricia Mazanec, St. Louis, and Barbara Shields, Dixon; two brothers, Curtis Popplewell, Independence, and Tennyson Popplewell, Rocky Mount; one sister, Eula Steen, Eldon; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Stevinson-Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Bro. Walt Pollard will officiate. Burial will be in Gott Cemetery, near Ulman. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation.
