George E. Ross, 91, of North Garrett Street, Nevada, died Thursday at 10:20 a.m. in Bucyrus Community Hospital. He was born in Henderson, to George H. and Ethel E. (Williams) Ross.

He was married Oct. 23, 1940, to Edna L. Norton, who survives. Also surviving are a son, James Gordon Ross and his wife Gina of Charlotte, N.C., three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Rehm of Fullerton, Mrs. Pat (Margaret Ellen) Robinson of Clearwater, and Mrs. Tom (Carolyn) Richardson of Bucyrus, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ross, and one sister, Evelyn Wilson.

Mr. Ross graduated from Arsenal Technical School in Indianapolis in 1926. He had lived in Nevada since 1947. He was a project engineer for road machinery. He worked for W.A. Riddell in Bucyrus and then for Galion Iron Works, retiring from there in 1973.

He had been a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church since 1947 and had served as treasurer for many years. A former member of the Nevada school board, Mr. Ross was an amateur radio enthusiast. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Nevada United Methodist Church.
