Funeral for Francis Edna Collier, 83, of Brevard, North Carolina, will be today at 3 PM at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Collier, the Rev. Matthew Collier, the Rev. Evan Collier and the Rev. Aaron Collier officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 3 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Collier died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at the Brain Center in Brevard. She was born June 23, 1915 in Morgan County to George W. Evans and Mary Belle Field.

A former Decatur resident, she was a retired church secretary and served as the church organist and pianist for more than fifty years. She also played for the Shumake Quartet. She was the widow of John Collier.

She is survived by three sons, Billy Don Cox of Jacksonville, Florida, Bobbie DeWayne Cox of Cummings, Georgia, and the Rev. Kenneth Evans Collier of Brevard; one sister, Elese E. Sellers of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
