He graduated from Saint John's University in 1952 and then joined the Army and served in Korea. Work for the New York Fire Department as a first deputy commissioner. And was from Flushing, Queens County, New York. His wife, Elizabeth, died five years earlier. Survivors: Sons, John of College Point, Queens, William Jr. of Princeton Junction, New Jersey; daughters, Elizabeth Feehan of Brooklyn, and Tara Davan of Belle Harbor, Queens. His final resting place is Saint Charles Cemetery, Suffolk County, New York.
