Rosalie Arena, 73, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, January 21, 2011.

Rosalie was born on September 4, 1937 in Gamerco, New Mexico to Juan C. and Francisca Andrade Cortez.

Rosalie was a beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Cousin, Aunt, Friend and Cheerleader.

Rosalie is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Louis Arena. They were married June 7th, 1959 at Five Wounds Catholic Church in San Jose, CA. She is also survived by her Son, Louis Anthony Arena and partner David LaLonde; Daughter, Christina Arena-Montaño and Boyfriend, Jacob L. Dominguez; Grandsons, Patrick C. Montaño (Bubbs), Nicholas I. Montano, and Noah A. Montaño; Brothers, Frank Cortez and his wife Josephina, Dennis Cortez and his wife Kyoko, Cecilio Cortez and his wife Cha, Tony Cortez and his wife Sandy; and several nephews, nieces and godchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan C. and Francisca A. Cortez; brothers, Guillermo and Pete Cortez and sister, Avelina Olivo.
