Margaret Condie, 92, of Valparaiso, Ind., formerly of 306 W. Iowa, Spring Valley, died at 3:15 p.m. March 11, 2003, in Arthur B. and Ethel V. Horton VNA Hospice Center of Valparaiso, Ind.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, with Pastor Don Chatfield officiating. Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Condie was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Prescott, Kan., to Ernest and Mary (Miner) Lutter. She married John Condie on Sept. 11, 1946, in La Salle.
She was a member of Spring Valley United Church of Christ. She graduated from Rockford School of Nursing in 1931 and then continued her education at the University of Minnesota. She worked as the head operating room nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital until her marriage.
Survivors include two sons, David Bruce (Julia) Condie of Valparaiso, Ind., and Dr. Scott (Kathy) Condie of Bluffton, S.C.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 3, 1985; one sister; and one grandson.
Memorials may be directed to hospice.
