Charles Bliese, 218 W. Slade st., Palatine, died at his home Saturday evening, Sept. 16. He had been ill six weeks, two weeks of which were spent at the Sherman hospital, Elgin.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Palatine Lutheran church. Rev. Koester officiating. Interment was at Hillside cemetery.
Mr. Bliese was born June 25, 1885, in New York. When an infant his parents moved to Palatine, which had since been his home.
He married Miss Lydia Harmening June 7, 1917, who survives. There is one daughter, Mrs. Arlene Wessel; a grandson, and two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Roper, Palatine, and Mrs. Martin Brockman, Roselle.
Deceased retired August 1 from employment at the C. & N. W. R. R. where he served as a car clerk since 1917. He died before he received his first pension check.
