EAST CARBON- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Lee "Leon" Van Gray, age 58, passed away November 26, 2010 at Castleview Hospital in Price.

Born May 16, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leo V. and Jean Chapman Gray. He was raised with one sister, three half brothers, two half sisters, and a foster brother and sister.

Married his soul mate Frances Guy September 3, 2003 in Price, Utah. They traveled the states as full time RVers for the last four years and did volunteer work at Dinosaur National Park in Utah, Petrified National Park in Arizona and North Cascades in Washington. Lee was an avid fisher and hunter. He loved camping, traveling, playing the guitar, dancing and volunteering for the National Parks system in various capacities. He also played on several pool leagues. He enjoyed his computer and was a member of several computer groups and made many friends all over the world through them. Everyone loved hearing Lee tell of his many adventures throughout his life.

Lee proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survived by his loving wife, Frances; eight children, Tersina K. Hall, Vernal; Chris (Valeria) Gray, Salt Lake City; Melissa Gray, Salt Lake City; Tina Jean (Devin) Kelly, Fairbanks, Alaska; Jessica Gray, Salt Lake City; Tina (Troy) Bolingbroke, Heber City; Vicky (David) Meadows, Ogden; Danny (Kaywin) Cottle, Malad, Idaho; 28 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father, Leo V. Gray; step father, and brother.

Graveside, Wednesday, December 1, 2010, 2:00 p.m. Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery (17111 South Camp Williams Road). Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price) and Wednesday from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
