Mrs. Emma Pearl Skipper Brooks, age 88, of Sandersville died Wednesday night January 5, 2011 in the Heritage Inn of Sandersville following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 7, in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The Rev. Jim Dunn will officiate.

Mrs. Brooks was a native of Montgomery Alabama, the daughter of the late Ira Skipper and the late Mary Viola Knight Skipper. She was the wife of the late Fox Brooks. Mrs. Brooks was a retired grocery store cashier and a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are a daughter, Gail Brooks Webster and her husband Reid of Sandersville, a sister, Edna Brooks Coburn of Dallas, Ga., two grandchildren, Charles Lee Webster and Crystal Elizabeth Webster.
