Christian Liam Connelly, 9, of Brookline, formerly of Squirrel Hill, died of cancer Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, in his home. Christian was a fourth grade pupil at Brookline Elementary School. Christian was one of three children in the family of Coleman William Connelly and Maria Angela Vondas Connelly. He is survived by his brothers, Coleman Jerry Connelly, 6, and Colin Roch Connelly, seven months. In addition to his parents and brothers, Christian is survived by his grandparents, William Owen and Karen Lee Connelly, of Beechview, and Jerry and Laura Baccelli Vondas, of Squirrel Hill. He was also the nephew of Emily M. Connelly, a student at Temple University, Richard M. Connelly, of Beechview, Richard Allan Moser, of Penn Hills, and Jenna Beatrice Moser, also of Penn Hills. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Beinhauers, 2630 W. Liberty Ave., Dormont, 412-531-4000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Justin Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Washington, with Father Walter Ryzdon as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Hazelwood.
