Elmo Lee Wills, 86, went to be with his Lord on January 17, 2011. He was born June 18, 1924 in Pine Top, Missouri to Glen and Ira Belle Wills.

Elmo Married Evelyn Catherine Bowen on July 17, 1944 in Independence, Kansas. They were blessed with five children.

Elmo is survived by wife of the home, Sister and husband, five children and spouses; thireteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Elmo was preceded in death by parents Glen and Ira Belle Wills, Sisters; Eva Wills, Edna York, Wanetta Pursley, and brother Gene Wills.

Elmo served his country as a sergeant in the US Army, World War II Philippine Campaign from September 1944 to December 1946.

After the war he settled in the Wichita area and worked for Boeing from August 1956 to May 1966.

Elmo moved his family to Collinsville, Oklahoma in August 1968 when he went to work for American Airlines as a machinist. He retired from American on Dec. 31, 1988.

Elmo loved the outdoors, was a compassionate gardener and devoted to his children.

He spent the last 46 years of his life diligently studying Holistic and Homeopathic medicine. He gained a world of knowledge and retained it all. You could go to him with any health problem and he knew exactly what you needed to do. He would suggest the necessary herb or vitamin supplement to resolve the problem. He knew how the human body worked and the detail purpose of every organ. He never hesitated to tell you when you needed to make changes in your life style. He constantly impressed his medical doctors. When diagnosed with melanoma cancer and given two months to live he refused conventional treatment and survived an additional nine years.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Airport Freewill Baptist Church, 1190 North Mingo, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at noon at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville,Oklahoma.
