ALVIS JOYCE DEAN, 67, passed away on January 17, 2011 at her home in Pearland, TX. She was born on June 13, 1943 to her parents, Alvis and Edna Thomas in Paris, TX. She was a lifelong resident of Pearland.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Howard Dean, daughter, Diane Wallace Poynter, sons; Eddie Wallace and Tommy Wallace, sisters; Mary Edna Sloan & husband Bud, Willie Christine Montalbano & husband Tony, and Anita Lorene Bruce, brothers; William Earl Thomas, George Wayne Thomas, and Alfred Clifton Thomas, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 19 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.
A funeral service will take place at Crowder Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Ray Gibson officiating.
Interment will immediately follow the service in procession to Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, TX.
Pallbearers assisting are Cody Wallace, Larry Poynter, Luke Wallace, David Love, Gus Lagos and Dusty Carroll. Honorary pallbearers include Eddie Wallace and Tommy Wallace.
