Mrs. Ruby Meyer of St. Francis, Kansas, passed away March 9 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver. She was born April 22, 1912, in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, near Nora, the daughter of the late James W. and Grace Corman Wright.

December 16, 1936, she married Edwin H. Meyer at Bird City, Kansas, and have lived on a farm near there until moving to St. Francis in 1981. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed the out of doors, gardening and flowers.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Milford and Glen LeRoy, and a grandson, Rick Straub.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin; daughter, DeEtta Knorr and husband, Kenneth; son, David and wife, Charlene; six grandchildren, Kim Straub, Karla Knorr, Anita, Mike, Troy and Kelly Meyer; great granddaughter, Heidi Straub all of St. Francis; brother, Bert Wright of Bird City; sister, Mrs. Kermit (Dorothy) Ewing of Arlington, Washington.

Funeral services were held March 14 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bird City, Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Burial was near Bird City.

Relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Corman, Hardy; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Corman, Omaha; Mrs. Dennis Dickes and Wendy, Waco; LuAnn Meyer and Mrs. Steve Poppe, Hastings; Mrs. Gary Reiman, Lawrence; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Schiermeyer, Ron Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Meyer of Superior.
