Statesboro - Laura Lee Cope, 82, died Wednesday at Candler General Hospital in Savannah after a long illness. She was a native of Effingham County and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Harry C. Cope and Ivy Lee, both of Springfield; and a number of grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. E.S. Woods officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
