Mrs. Marie S. Parrish, age 103, passed away on March 22, 2008, at Brown's Nursing Home, while under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Washington County native was a long time resident of Brooklet. She was a a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Parrish loved helping others in times of need. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, George Pierce Parrish, and a son, John Eugene Parrish.
Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Barbara Parrish of Brooklet; three grandchildren, Bart Parrish of New Hampshire, Niki P. Knight and Patricia Parrish, both of Brooklet; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, two loving nieces, Phyllis Parrish and Eva Sanders; along with several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Clifford officiating. Burial will follow in the Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Hodges-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
