"Reuben R. Brooks, 44, 621 West North Temple street, died Friday noon in a local hospital of perforation of the stomach, complicated by pneumonia.
He was born December 11, 1889, in Salt Lake City, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brooks. Mr. Brooks had lived practically all his life in Salt Lake City and was an automobile mechanic until recently, when he entered the furniture business.
Surviving are his widow, Eva M. Brooks; a daughter, Virginia Brooks; his father and mother, former residents of Salt Lake City and now residing in Los Angeles and the following brothers and sisters; John R. Brooks, Burbank, Cal.; Edwin U. Brooks, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Esther Morey, Mrs. Dora Doble, Miss Irene Brooks and Wilfred Brooks, all of Los Angeles."

"BROOKS ~ Funeral services for Reuben R. Brooks, 44 years of age, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m., in the Kingdon and Lees mortuary, 255 South Second East, Bishop Leo G. Thayne, officating. Interment City cemetery. The casket will be open at the mortuary Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m., until time of services."
