Jennie Pearl Hawke Bolton was the oldest of seven known children born to Julia (Cornelius) and George Lincoln Hawke of Mercer County, Pennsylvania. She married Frank Braden Bolton in about 1905 and had three children, George Lewis, Frank and Violet Blanche Bolton. She died at the age of 27 of chronic meningitis four months after Violet was born.
