AUGUSTA - Frances I. Trepanier , age 97, formerly of Davenport Street, died January 13, 2011 at Maine Veterans Home after an extended illness. She was born in Manchester on Oct. 30, 1913 the daughter of Francis T. Wheeler and Julia M. (Taaffe) Wheeler.

Mrs. Trepanier was employed by the Veterans Administration Center at Togus in Dietetic Services for 11 years.

She was a member of St. Michael Parish at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Mrs. Trepanier was predeceased by her husband, Romeo F. Trepanier, on June 17, 1995; her infant son, Abraham L. Neptune; a daughter, Dorothy M. Ahearn; and a grandson, Daniel Ahearn.

Surviving is her sister, Elinor Williams of Florida; sister-in-law, Hazel Wheeler of South Paris; 11 grandchildren: Doreen Campbell and her husband Richard, William Ahearn Jr. and his wife Roseanne, Timothy Ahearn and his wife Linda, Steve Ahearn and his wife Nancy, Deidra Fairley, Sheila Vinal, Joyce Sawyer and her husband Jim, Kathleen Campbell and her husband Jeff, Carol Parlin, Michael Ahearn and Shannon Ahearn; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Committal prayers will be offered in the spring at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
