— 81, of Springfield passed away Friday, November 25, 1994 at 7:30 a.m. at the K of P Home following several years of failing health. He was born October 24, 1913 in Terre Haute, Indiana the son James and Margaret (Printz)Connolly. John retired from Davidson/Zinn in 1976. He later worked for Meeks Sporting Goods for several years. He was a member of Story - Hypes Methodist Church, graduated from St. Mary High School, Urbana. Ohio. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias, Ingomar Lodge number 6l0 and Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1031. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, A Marie (Warren); four sons and spouses, James of Troy, Ohio, John and Barbara of Findlay, Ohio, Joe of McComb, Ohio, Michael and Nora of Carey, Ohio; two daughters, Sr.Patricia Connolly of Immokalee, Florida, Catherine and Don V Neiderkohr of Carey, Ohio; two brothers and spouses, George and Eloise Ropp of Urbana, Philip and Donna Ropp of Cable, Ohio; two sisters, Lorah Ann Ziegler and Rita Stegall of Urbana; 15 grandchildren; 10, great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan; a brother, Floyd Ropp; two sisters, Helen Ziegler and Mary Brunotte. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4:30 to 8 p.m., Monday with Ingomar Lodge services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Tuesday in the funeral home with Reverend William Bushong officiating. Burial in Glen Hayen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be supplied from Ingomar Lodge. Contributions may be made to Story Hypes Church, Knights of Pythias or to your favorite charity.
