Hazel Irene Cowan; 81 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on Jan. 25, 2005 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born April 14, 1923 in Clarinda, Iowa to George Edward and Bertha Irene (Gorrel) Norris.

Hazel was united in marriage to Robert Franklin Cowan on November 1, 1940 in Rockport, MO. To this union two children were born, Joyce and Robert, JR.

Hazel was employed with the Glenwood Resource Center for over 25 years. She was of the Methodist faith. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, reading, working on crossword puzzles and she was a great animal lover. She especially enjoyed times spent with her family.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 2000 and sister Ethel Lawson. She is survived by her children: Joyce Marcene Tinnell of Omaha,NE; Robert F. Cowan, JR. of Glenwood, IA; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister Maxine Higgins of Clarinda, IA; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
