Lillie T. (Small) Barrow was born December 12, 1906 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and departed this life on November 19, 2012 at Wilshire at Lakewood in Lee's Summit, Missouri at the age of 105 years, 11 months and 7 days. She was the daughter of Alexander Johnson and Nannie (Smith) Small.

On December 26, 1936 she was united in marriage with Owen Curtis "Buck" Barrow in Pleasant Hill. After their marriage Lillie and Buck moved to Toledo, Ohio where they lived for eleven years. In 1947, the Barrow family returned to Pleasant Hill to make their home.

Buck Barrow passed away on February 6, 1979. After Buck's death, Lillie continued to live in the family home in Pleasant Hill until, at the age of one hundred and two, declining health necessitated a move to Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center.

Lillie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was completely devoted to her family. She was an extremely talented seamstress and thoroughly enjoyed sewing for her daughters and grandchildren. As a young woman, she won many ribbons with her beautiful quilts at the County Fair. Lillie enjoyed writing poetry, and especially loved painting, starting at a very young age and continuing throughout her life.

Lillie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill. She was a member of the Ivy Leaf Chapter of O.E.S. of Pleasant Hill and had served as Worthy Matron in 1968. In 2008 Ivy Leaf Chapter O.E.S. presented her with her 50 year membership pin which she treasured. She attended Past Matrons meetings until she moved to Wilshire.

In addition to her husband, Buck, Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Nancy Small; four brothers, Claude Small, George Small, Sandy Small, John Small and five sisters, Lola Hayes, Alma Parris, Pearl James, Nannie Mitchell and Linnie Dickerson.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Harvkey and husband Sam of Yuma, Arizona; Anita Parris and husband Sam of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Vicki Lawrence also of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Five grandchildren, Tina Carlile, Steven and Michael Harvkey, Sandy Price and Daniel Lawrence; seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many, many friends.
