Fred Arvickson, a former DuBois resident, died Saturday at 12:15 p.m., in Erie where he had been located for the past eight years.
He was born in DuBois in January, 1894, the son of Frank and Evelyn (Johnson) Arvickson. In Erie he had operated three fishing boats and also was a rug-maker.
He leaves a brother, Oscar, and a nephew, Paul Walburn, in this city; and a brother, Carl, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Clerk and Mrs. Emma Parkhurst; his wife the former Rachel London of Stump Creek, and a son Blair, all of Erie.
The body will be returned to this city on Tuesday for burial in the Rumbarger cemetery. Services will be conducted at the cemetery at 3 p.m.
