Len. A. Best, age 26 years, died of consumption in Atchison Saturday morning and was buried in the Monrovia cemetery Monday. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Best, now of Cherryvale, Kansas, but were among the early settlers of the Monrovia neighborhood and a nephew of A. S. Best of Monrovia.

Len A. Best, age 26 years, died at 10:00 o'clock this morning of consumption at the home of his brother, Ed. Best, at 406 South Fifth street. He had had a siege of illness lasting several years, during which time he visited California and other localities in hope of regaining his health. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Best, of Cherryviale, Kansas , are here. M. L. Best, who is a brother of Aaron Best, of Monrovia, was an early settler of Atchison county, locating near Monrovia. He moved to Cherryvale eighteen years ago. His wife is a sister of A. W. Fletcher, of the Cottage hotel. Ed. Best, of Webber's grocery store, Hodda Best, of Atchison, and Mrs. J. W. Walker, of Bald Knob, Arkansas, are the remaining children of M. L. Best. The funeral will occur Monday morning. After a short service conducted by Elder Ely at the home of Ed. Best, the body will be taken to Monrovia on the morning Central Branch passenger train for interment in the Monrovia cemetery.
