Bette E. Briggs May 16, 1921-Aug 29, 2010 Bette E. Briggs, age 89, of Knob Noster, Missouri, passed away at Fulton Presbyterian Manor on Sunday, August 29, 2010. She was born May 16, 1921, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Homer B. and Martha (Bullard) Cook. On August 31, 1946, she was united in marriage to Quentin Briggs who preceded her in death on August 23, 1966.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one sister, Ann Heath of Fulton, Missouri; one foster son, Leslie Bullard of Sedalia, Missouri; and many dear friends. Her parents, husband and one brother, Homer B. Cook, Jr., preceded her in death.
Bette was a registered nurse at the City Hospital in St. Louis and co-owned an IGA grocery business in Knob Noster before retiring.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, Missouri, with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
