Her siblings were Elizabeth Niederhauser (Memorial 53785546) and Christian Niederhiser (Memorial 58295235). She immigrated through NYC on 11 November 1868 with her husband Daniel Kappler and her 2nd, 3rd and 4th children, having left their oldest son Rudolf with his Niederhauser grandparents, who followed the next year. The Kapplers had a dozen children before they both died in Saginaw in 1883, and the children dispersed to foster homes.
