Louise "Louisa" Arias Romero, 88, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 22, 2011.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Angel Funeral Home Chapel of the Angels, 2209 S. Arthur St. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Jose Gomez as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Angel Funeral Home.

Lousia was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Puerto DeLuna, N.M., to Seferino Arias and Juanita Griego Arias. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and playing bingo. She was kind-hearted and always checked in on her family. She will greatly be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Alfonso Romero, in 2009; and three sons, Jose Romero, Ignacio Romero and Gilbert Romero.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Quintero and husband Willie and Lorraine Gonzales and husband Adam, all of Amarillo; three sons, Tony Romero, Jimmy Romero and Alfonso Romero Jr., all of Amarillo; a sister, Geraldine Cross; a brother, Joe Junior Arias; 21 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
