James Elijah Springer was the second child of Allen Springer and Lillian Thompson. He married Flossie May Harmon September 22, 1922. They had three children, one of whom died as an infant. The others were a daughter, Lola Marie (1923-1932) and Lloyd (1926-1971). James "Jim" Springer was a farmer. He was a diabetic for several years and died on his birth day of an acute insulin reaction.
