Mary would grow up and marry Thomas Jefferson Dinning and live on a farm 2 miles outside of Gleason, Tenn. and raise their children. Later in life, when Thomas was in bad health, Mary and Thomas moved into Gleason, Tenn. in 1903. He died the following year from a stroke on Nov. 2, 1904. He was buried in the Hopewell Cemetery, Gleason, Tenn.-Weakley Co. Mary would live many more years and die at a ripe old age on Feb. 3, 1940. She was buried beside her husband, Thomas.
