Mildred "Mickey" R. Pillion Lentz, 77, of Brandon, Fla., joined her husband Tuesday December 7, 2010, after a four and a half year battle with esophageal cancer. Born May 8, 1933, in Sprigfield, OH, to Garrett Pillion and Edith Frehour Foss, who predeceased her, she resided in the same home in Brandon for over 55 years. A 1950 graduate of Mountain Mission School, Grundy, VA., she was a retired nurse, University of South Fla. SeniorNet Coach and a charter member of the Babes in Brandonland Red Hat Society.
Preceded in death by her husband i 2006, Carl L. Lentz, she is survived by her sister, Beulah Reid of Symsonia, KY; her children, eckey (Richard) LeVaugh of Merritt Island, Fla., Karen (Jerry) Rodriguez of Brandon, Fla., Craig (Deborah) of Dade City, Fla., and Richard of Brandon; and special daughter, Carol (Geoff) McLeod; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous special friends. A celebration of life service at Southern Funeral Care to be followed by a reception at the family home.
