Dorothy Law Ickes Corbett, age 85, of Jarrell, Texas and lifelong resident of Williamson county passed away January 8, 2011 with her loving family by her side.

A Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 11th from 6-8 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home with Rev. John Warden officiating. Burial will follow at Corn Hill Cemetery in Jarrell, Texas.

She was born on December 5, 1925 to Aubrey Beamon Law and Annie (McCann) Law in Youngsport, Texas. Dorothy married Charles William Ickes, Jr. in March of 1947 and he preceded her in death in March of 1962. She later married James Franklin Corbett in Georgetown on September 10, 1966 and he preceded her in death in March of 1986. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weir, Texas. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Beamon Law and Annie McCann Law; husband, Charles W. Ickes, Jr.; husband, James Corbett; son, Charles Ray Ickes; son-in-law, Jack Harville.

Survivors include, three daughters, Charlotte Franklin and husband John of Uhland, Texas, Margie Nunn of Georgetown, Nancy Harville of Jarrell; son, William (Bill)Ickes and wife Wanda of Jarrel; daughter-in-law, Jean Ickes of Pflugerville, Texas; four brothers, Aubrey Law of Houston, Texas, Wayne Law and wife Doris of Temple, Texas, Paul Law and wife Yvonne of Kingsbury, Texas, Wilburn Law and Natasha; sister, Marjorie Myers and husband Al of Denver, Colorado; six granddaughters, Tamera Baird and husband Jimmy of Georgetown, Lauren Ickes of Pflugerville, Lillian King and husband Josh of Jarrell, Tammy Sabella and husband Steve of Elsberry, Missouri, Susan McDonald and Lacy Ickes, both of Jarrell; five grandsons, Jeff Nunn and wife Hilary of Georgetown, Chris Harville and wife Debbie of Jarrell, Luke Harville of Georgetown, Charlie McDonald and wife Michelle of Dallas, Texas, and William Ickes of Jarrell along with 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Jess Nunn, James Baird, III, Chris Harville, Luke Harville, William Ickes and Charlie McDonald.
