Milan, MI--Georgia J. Benedick, 84, of Milan died of cancer at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 1994, in her home. Services were held Tuesday at the Cover Funeral Home in Dundee with the Rev. Thom Burbridge, chaplain of Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor, officiating. Cremation will follow. born April 24, 1910 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of James and Nettie (Rican) Svestka. She was married Aug. 6, 1932 in Monroe to Steven J. Benedick, Sr. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1982. Survivors, along with her husband, also include a son, Steven J. Benedick, Jr. of Milan; three daughters, three brothers, three sisters, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a half-brother and a half-sister. Memorial gifts may be made to Arbor Hospice.
