Henry died at his home (179 Hill Street) after a lengthy illness.
Henry came to Biddeford at age 5 from England with his parents. He arrived at Boston on 2 Sep 1893 aboard the Cephalonia. Henry's family had been living at 68 Brooks Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, England. The Anderson family left family behind in England, including cousins with the surname of Dodd.
Henry grew up in Biddeford, attending Biddeford public schools and graduating from Biddeford High school.
Henry was employed for 25 years as a maintenance man for the Boston and Maine railroad. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Biddeford.
Henry never married. His obituary lists the following survivors: four sisters, Miss Mary Anderson, Miss Jessie Anderson, and Miss Elizabeth Anderson, all of Biddeford; Mrs. Alfred Chasse, Fairhaven, Mass.; two brothers, Richard and Frank Anderson, both of Biddeford, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Shumway funeral home, 35 Spring street, Saco.
