Lisa C. Bratt, 48, Reading, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Mifflin Center after a long, courageous battle. She was a daughter of Esther (Elson) and Sidney Bratt, Reading.

Born in Reading, Lisa moved to Philadelphia in 2001 and was an active member of the JCHAI Community. Lisa was a graduate of Linden Hall and received a degree in early childhood education from Reading Area Community College. She worked at the YMCA for many years as a devoted teacher in the preschool program. She was an avid bowler, an excellent Scrabble player and dedicated volunteer at the Ingles House and for other organizations.

Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Esther and Sidney Bratt; her sisters and their husbands, Evelyn, wife of Jay Lipschutz, Allentown; and Corinne, wife of Andy Wernick, Reading; and her nieces and nephews: Michele (Lipschutz), wife of Benjamin Leisawitz; Aaron Wernick; Stacy (Lipschutz), wife of Mathew Seltzer; and Brian Wernick.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Kesher Zion Synagogue, 1245 Perkiomen Ave., Reading. Burial will follow in Kesher Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger Funeral Home, Reading. www.henningerfuneralhome.com
