Born Erfurt, Germany, m. 22 Nov 1859 in Cincinnati; Civil War Vet - Co. D 165th OH Vol Inf, Cpl in Union. His Co. crossed the Potomac during the Civil War, and the men were wet and cold. After discharge, was a sickly man the rest of his life. Also, spelled Froman, Frohmann. Immigrated 27 Jun 1859. Christian was a carver and carpenter. f/o 5 children.
