Centennial B. Jump, 86, of 52 Raleigh Road, and 17 Sayles Rd., died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in an Asheville nursing home following a long illness. Mr. Jump was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, a retired employe of Morgan Manufacturing C. at Black Mountain Co. at Black Mountain. A member of Oakley Baptist Church and a son of the late Taylor and Eliza Cole Jump. Surviving are six sons, Frank H. of Marion, The Rev. Fred M. of Erwin, N.C., William C. of Portsmouth, Va., Charles P. of Asheville, Johnny T. of Guilford College and Thomas H. Jump of Raleigh; three daughters, Mrs.. Myrtle Sustin, Mrs. Margaret Cole and Mrs. Mildred Tranbarger of Asheville; three sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Kuykendall of Asheville, Mrs. Pearl Cole of Weaverville and Mrs. Mae Swann of Chicago, Ill; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 52 Raleigh Rd. Anders-ice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
