Joseph Heckerson, 98, of Morris, Illinois passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2001 at the Walnut Grove Living Center in Morris. IL.
He was born March 19, 1903 in Helmar, IL, the son of Lars and Lena Heckerson.
Mr. Heckerson was a farmer in the area for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his children, Larry (Bonnie) Heckerson of Plainfield, IL, Robert (Barbara) Heckerson of Strawberry Plains, TN and Jean (Don) Udstad of Kennesaw, GA; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; his brother, Marvin (Frances) Hackerson of Aurora, IL; his twin sister, Alma Thorson of Morris, IL and his sister, Gladys Harnly of Aurora, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn; his son, Joseph Heckerson, Jr., his infant son, Donald Heckerson; his daughter, Mary Lou McGuire; his three grandsons, Douglas Foster, Dennis Udstad and Brian Heckerson; his brother, Orville Hackerson; and his sister, Mable Jacobson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL. Interment will follow in the Millington-Newark Cemetery in Newark.
