Julia Pearl Belt, 87, formerly of 15206 National Pike, and a resident of Julia Manor Health Care Center, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Nov. 19, 1919, in Clear Spring, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ollie Mae Chaney Higgins.

Her husband, Norris Addison Belt Sr., died in 1973.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Blairs Valley Church of God.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie S. Caldwell of Hagerstown; two sons, Norris A. Belt Jr. of Clear Spring and Johnny M. Belt Sr. of Gambrills, Md.; one sister, Ollie D. Lamaster of Winchester, Va.; three brothers, Leister Higgins and Lewis Higgins, both of Clear Spring, and Willard Higgins of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Devona Cafaro and Susan Malpass; three brothers, Frederick Higgins, Harry Higgins and Russell Higgins; and one grandson.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. The Rev. Thomas Perry will officiate. Burial will be in Blairs Valley Cemetery.
