William Erwin Garrison, 85, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, passed from this life Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010. Service: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel, the Rev. Sammy Hargrove officiating. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: His family will receive friends 2:30 p.m. to service time Friday. Mr. Garrison was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Fort Worth. He was the son of Dr. and Mrs. B.W. Garrison Sr. He was a veteran of World War II who after the war wed Dorothy Britt on Sept. 25, 1949. They were members of First United Methodist Church. The couple lived in Fort Worth and moved to Irving in 1974 for the remainder of his life. He was a 50-year Life Member of Fort Worth Lodge #148, Chapter & Council, Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas, Worth Commandery No. 19, Moslah Shriners and Moslah Shrine Patrol, and a member of the American Legion No. 218 and Las Colinas Country Club. Survivors: Wife, Dorothy; daughters, Sherry Morgan and husband, Jerry, Patricia Stewart and Kim Duncan; siblings, Dr. B.W. Garrison, Charlotte Perry, Grace Clingman and Corinne McCully; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
