Obituary-Mrs. Phoebe Salyer died at the home of her son, D.D. Salyer near Jeffersonville, on Saturday, June 14, 1902. She died of cancer. She was the daughter of Stephen Arnett, of Magoffin county, and was in her 84th year. Aside from cancer, her mind was healthy and vigorous. She was a member of the Baptist Church. The burial was at Antioch on Sunday. She leaves seven children; C.C. of Ezel, Mrs. Abbie Wilson, Daysboro, Mrs. Nancy Patrick, Magoffin county; Sam and Mrs. James Gilmore in Texas, J.B. and D.D. Salyer at Jeffersonville. Her husband, Isaiah Salyer, died five years ago.
