Leota Bowen passed this life on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Losey and Alta (Snyder) Bowen who received her on July 12, 1928 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Leota has been a faithful church member to the Hillcrest Freewill Baptist Church for the past twenty years. She worked for a phone company in California in her earlier years before moving to Oklahoma. Once she moved back to Oklahoma she worked as a nursing home administrator in Tulsa and she also owned the Toppers Kountry Store Corner for over six years at Toppers. Leota was well known for the piano skills and she would play for the Hillcrest Freewill Baptist Church and the Wagoner nursing home every chance she had. She was a member of Curves where she enjoyed her friends. Leota is preceded in death by her parents Losey and Alta Bowen, one son; Greg Roach two sisters; Renee and Loretta. She is survived by three sons; Tom Turner and wife Darla, Steve Turner and Fred Roach all of Wagoner, Oklahoma, one daughter; Rhonda Bearden and husband Bruce of Wagoner, Oklahoma along with twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren, other relatives and friends who are sure to miss her. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2010 at 10 am at Hillcrest Free Will Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
